There are several studies showing that eating breakfast affects academic performance of students. Some universities in mainland Japan have already started providing a healthy breakfast at the student cafeterias to help develop their students' motivation and academic achievement. Over the past several years, the authors, part-time teachers of English at Meio University, have also realized this might apply to Meio students' academic performance.
