The study included analysis of a class for sixth graders conducted by the author at Wing English Communication School, an English and foreign language school in Nago, Okinawa. For the purposes of this study, the author collected data by videotaping his sixth grade class (consisting of four girls) on March 16, 2002, which he then transcribed completely.
