 note = {カヌードスの乱とは、アントニオ・コンセリェイロという平信徒が率いた信徒集団が、ブラジル・バイーア州北部のカヌードスで蜂起した大暴動を、共和国政府が1896年から1897年にかけて平定した内乱である。本稿では、同乱のきっかけを司法区判事アルリンド・レオネとアントニオ・コンセリェイロとの個人的確執が原因とする従来の先行研究の説と救世主運動という従来の説よりも、カヌードスの乱がおこった頃のバイーア州内の寡頭勢力同士の権力闘争と、当時の首都リオ・デ・ジャネイロにあった共和国政府内の政治的対立から同乱が始まったものとして考察を試みたい。, From 1896 to 1897, in the north of Bahia State, Brazil, Antonio Conselheiro and his disciples rioted against the Brazilian Republic government, so the government　retaliated by subjugating northern Bahia. Other researchers focus on personal conflicts between Judge Arlindo Leone andAntonio Conselheiro and on messianism movement as the cause of the Canudos Civil　War; however, the author of this paper shows that struggles of power within the Bahia　State oligarchy and within the Brazilian Republic government let to the civil war.},
