| 内容記述 | 名桜大学国際学部は、平成19 (2007)年、国際学部(学部・学科制)を国際学群(学群制)に改組した。改組の目的は、①学生の選択の自由度を高めること、②教義教育重視の方向性を明確に打ち出すこと、③学生ニーズと社会的要素に合った柔軟なカリキュラム編成を実現すること、④教育研究組織のスリム化を図ること、 ⑤学生数を安定確保すること(財政の安定化)であった。本稿の事例研究においては、学群制度の大学設置基準上の位置づけを明らかにした。また、入学志願者増につなげるためには、学群制度への改組のみでは達せられず、他の教育改革が必要になってくるだろうことも示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In 2007(Heisei19),the Department of International Studies("gakubu/gakka"system) at Meio University was restructured and became part of the university's newly established School of International Studies ("gakugun" system). The changes were designed to broaden students'range of choice, to direct attention to liberal education, to establish a flexible curriculum that met students'needs and the social circumstances at that time, to streamline the university's education and research organization, and to secure stable numbers of students (and thereby stabilize finances). This case study elucidates the valuation of the "gakugun" system according to the Standards of Establishment of Universities. It also suggests that some other educational reform would be needed, beside launching the "gakugun" system, to increase student applications to "international studies" at Meio University. | |||||
