The demonstration classes were provided collaboratively by high school and college students in the northern area of Okinawa prefecture. This research has clarified that there was "a chain effect of awareness of diet in the learning process among the high school and college students as well as among the elementary school students who took their classes. In order to increase students' interest in basic knowledge of and attention to diet, the high school students taught the meaning of Itadakimasu, a common Japanese courtesy phrase said before a meal, as the word is supposed to invoke appreciation towards all the people associated with the meal. The college students also conveyed direct dietary knowledge in the demonstration class. There were three significant effects on the elementary students which may be related to an improvement in the students' self-awareness, namely an increased awareness of their own health, a better attitude toward dietary habits, and reinforcement in preventing food waste. At the same time, the high school and college students were able to increase their self-efficacy through class performances. Furthermore, demonstration classes led the students to learn about each other as they strengthened their affiliation as a team. The results suggested that demonstration classes in dietary education not only have a positive effect on elementary school education, but also provide high school and college students with opportunities for collaborative learning experiences., application/pdf}, pages = {91--107}, title = {食育出前授業の学びとしての"気づきの連鎖効果"に関する事例研究 : “食育劇”と“農場体験”を経験した学生の学びから}, year = {} }
