In order to develop human resources demanded by society, we introduced group work in 2011. We found that the work burden had concentrated on a specific student in some groups. In order to improve, in 2012 we introduced a learning portfolio so as to promote individual student activities and to evaluate the activities of individual students. Using learning portfolios enabled students to understand themselves objectively, and teachers were able to know each student's multipronged learning activity. Furthermore, it became clear that many students were not utilizing enough of the information they acquired. As a result of the introduction of the LTD discussion learning method in 2013, improvement in the status of student homework was observed.
