"文部科学省によると,看護系大学(看護師養成課程のある学部・学科を持つ4年制大学)はここ数年,年毎に10校以上のペースで増加し1991年度には11校だった看護系大学が2012年度には203校を数えるまでになっている。一方,短大や専門学校など大学以外の養成機関は減少傾向で,短大の看護学科(3年制)を募集停止して4年制大学に看護学部を開設するところも増えている。今後,少子高齢化,情報化,医療の高度化といった社会変化の中,病院や福祉,介護現場など看護職の需要がますます高まることは確実で,看護学部・学科の新設は来年度以降も続くと言われている。一方で,教員の教育力の向上や看護師の高離職率等を改善することや,豊かな心を持った専門性の高い看護師を育成することは,看護系大学の緊急かつ重要な共通課題となってきている。文部科学省の平成21年度「大学教育充実のための戦略的大学連携支援プログラム」の公募にあたり,福岡県立大学が主幹となる『看護系大学から発信するケアリング・アイランド九州沖縄構想』が先見的広域連携の取組として評価を受けて採択された。3年間の本事業において取り組まれたプログラムを通して名桜大学における成果として一知見が得られたので報告する。",
