Although the nursing education for LPN was initiated led by the Education Bureau of Government of the Ryukyus(GRI), the recognition of the USCAR to the beginning of the nursing education for LPN was unknown. As a result of examining the USCAR documents in the Okinawa Prefectural Archives Collection, USCAR considered the students’ status as “the nurses’ aids” after taking a course in the Department of Hygiene and Nursing at Naha senior High school. In addition, USCAR defined that the curriculum was recognized as a “Prep-school” to receive certified nursing education for nurses’ qualifications or for nursing practice as of March 1966., application/pdf}, pages = {165--173}, title = {直接占領下での那覇高等学校衛生看護科で行われた准看護婦教育と琉球列島米国民政府の認識}, year = {}, yomi = {あわ, やよい and なしろ, かずえ and かでかる, えいこ} }
