 note = {沖縄観光において最も懸念される自然災害は台風である。発生する台風の多くが観光入込客の最も多い夏休みに沖縄に接近し猛威を振るう。台風時、ホテル利用者に対しどのような対策が講じられているかについて聞き取り調査を実施した。今回は名護市内の主要ホテル９軒を対象とした。結果として，今回調査したホテルは宿泊者の安全を最優先していることがわかった。また、台風時のホテル利用者対応においては多くの人手が必要となるが、調査したホテルはいずれも従業員確保のための対策はなされており、リスクマネジメントに関して大きな問題は見られなかった。本稿では台風時のホテル利用者の不安、不便をより軽減するための方策も提示した。台風時延泊料金に関する情報公開、停電により客室エアコンが使用不可となった際に備えた充電式扇風機の確保・配備などはその一例である。沖縄観光において台風は避けては通れない問題であるが、台風時こそホテルの顧客獲得・評価向上につながる好機であると捉え不断の努力と工夫が必要である。, Okinawa lies in the path of many typhoons with peak in summer which is also the high season for the lodging industry in Okinawa. Each hotel in Okinawa has serious concerns over obtaining relief from typhoons for hotel users. The researchers conducted a survey of hotel’s risk management system in Nago City. According to the survey, the hotels in Nago City give first priority to the safety of their guests. The lodging industry acknowledges they might be shorthanded at the time of disasters. The hotels in Nago City, however, take preventative measures against typhoons and are rarely shorthanded. This study also points to several recommendations for the hotels in Nago City. The following are some of the examples. The hotels might offer special room rates for guests who choose to extend their stays because of the typhoon and make the public aware of those options.
