Five temples that Rama 4 built were all devoted to Thammayut group that was founded by King Rama 4 before his enthronement and lead by Bowornransisuriyaphan who was a high ranked member of the royal family and was a disciple of King Rama 4 since the king was in the monastery. Many members of royal family chose Thammayut temples when they were ordained.
