| 内容記述 | Persian gardens were among the earliest to be designed on aesthetic principles. Persian gardens uniquely symbolize the geographical location of the land: between the West and the East. The historical locus and the contributions of Persian design to both the East and the West have rarely been fully acknowledged. Of interest is what elements of the composition of Persian designs has been maintained and which has been discarded. A subset of these elements at different historical moments has been embrassed/ repelled. The contribution of Persian design to both East and West has been uneven, shifting at different historical conjunctures posing a problem of a variable subset in the comprehension/ contribution of Persian design to the Eastern and Western garden design. | |||||
