But recently business use of the internet has grown rapidly throughout the world in the form of intranets. One increasingly widespread application is the support for electronic commerce. The growing problem currently is security; we are at risk when sending our credit card details over the internet in a virtual shopping transaction. Although the concept of \"security\" is against internet philosophy with its open system architecture. it is fundamental to the protection of company assets.
