| 内容記述 | 本研究は、ブラジル日本移民史の研究資料としての邦字新聞の重要性に注目し、第二次世界大戦前のブラジルにて発行された『日本新聞』の概要を確認するとともに、その初期における、新聞の論調に大きな影響を与えた運営体制について検討することを目的とする。従来のブラジル日本移民史において、『日本新聞』は戦前三大邦字新聞に次ぐ発行部数を持ちながら、三大紙の陰に隠れてこれまでその資料としての特徴は十分に検討がなされず、また研究資料としても僅かにしか参照されて来なかった。本研究では『日本新聞』に関するブラジル日本移民史の主要情報源内の記述を比較検討することで、従来知られていたその概要の共通点と矛盾点を指摘する。さらに創刊前夜から創刊初期に関する同時代の邦字新聞各紙の記事を読み解くことで、『日本新聞』の概要を検証するとともに、従来の認識とは異なる、『日本新聞』の初期運営体制を明らかにする。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study focuses on the importance of Japanese-language newspapers as research materials for the history of Japanese immigration to Brazil, and aims to identify the outline of the "Nippon Shimbun" published in Brazil before WWII, as well as to examine its early management structure that had a significant impact on the tone of the newspaper. In the conventional history of Japanese immigration to Brazil, the "Nippon Shimbun" had the next largest circulation after the three major Japanese-language newspapers, but it has been hidden in the shadows of the three major newspapers until now, and its characteristics as a source material have not been fully examined, nor has it been referenced as a research material in any way. This study compares and contrasts the descriptions of the "Nippon Shimbun" in major sources on the history of Japanese immigration to Brazil, and points out the commonalities and contradictions among its outline that were previously known. Furthermore, by reading articles in Japanese-language newspapers of the same period on the eve of and during the early years of its publication, this study will examine the outline of the“ Nippon Shimbun” and clarify its early management system, which differs from the conventional understanding. |
