| 内容記述 | 本論文はアメリカの戦後における経済政策の伝統と傾向について分析を行った。伝統的にアメリカ経済は政府の役割が少ない自由放任の経済である。冷戦中の歴代政権の経済政策は、ソ連封じ込め政策下で同盟国への経済援助と協力などに代表された。冷戦後はレーガノミクスに代表されるように｢小さな政府｣で経済的な規制緩和が行われた。その後のクリントノミクスでは個別の経済活動への政府の介入があった。その中で人への投資、特にIT関連産業への投資減税などで景気回復ができた。しかしここにきてかげりが見え、プッシュ新政権下ではソフトランディングが問われている。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper analyzes the traditional patterns and tendencies of the U.S. economic policy in the post-war period. Traditionally the U.S. economy is based on laissez-faire business practice with little government involvement. During the Cold War period, the economic policies of American presidents focussed on economic aids for and cooperation among allied nations because the U.S. was preoccupied with "containing" Soviet influence. After the Cold War, the U.S. economic policy was based on "Reaganomics," ie., a small government with deregulation of economic activities. The next policy was "Clintonomics," which invited more government involvement in the economy. Clintonomics was successful in boosting the economy by investing in human resources, especially in Information Technology (IT)-rerated industryes. However, the economic policy of Bush administration will need to adjust to the recent economic downturn by creating a "soft landing" for the economy. | |||||
