| 内容記述 | 近年、沖縄戦を題材に、体験者の証言を映像や文字として記録したり、戦争遺跡を保存したりする運動が始まっている。学校教育においても、社会科や総合的な学習の時間等を活用して沖縄戦についての授業実践が行われてきた。小学校では、総合的な学習の時間において沖縄戦を扱った平和学習が多く行われているが、社会科の授業で、沖縄戦にかかわる地域素材を取り上げ、教材化しての授業実践の蓄積は未だ十分ではない。本授業実践は、沖縄戦の最中、地域のガマ(壕)で起こったことについて子どもが調べ、考え、地域の方々とかかわりあいながら学び合う授業を通して、沖縄戦の悲惨さと平和の尊さを考える機会とした。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In recent years there has been a movement to preserve materials related to the Battle of Okinawa, such as archiving the testimony and videos of survivors, and preserving battle sites. Even in Social Studies and General Studies classes in secondary schools, field study classes have been held on the topic of the Battle of Okinawa. Though study periods have often been used in elementary schools to teach peace studies, there has not been enough material based on local resources about the Battle of Okinawa to be used in Social Studies classes. The aim of this field study class was to provide an opportunity for the children to research and think about what happened within the "Gama" of the area during the Battle of Okinawa, to learn about this topic while interacting with local people, and to reflect on the tragedy of the Battle of Okinawa and the preciousness of peace. | |||||
