| 内容記述 | 本資料は沖縄在住で台湾経験を有する人物へのインタビューを基にしたオーラルヒストリー集の一部である。本インタビュー記録は、台湾・基隆（社寮島）に生まれ育った平良玄福氏と、戦時中に台湾疎開を経験した盛島サカエ氏という、同じ台湾と宮古での生活経験を持つ「湾生」と「疎開者」のオーラルヒストリーである。台湾生まれの「湾生」である平良氏と、「疎開者」である盛島氏は異なった台湾生活経験を有するものの、同年代である両氏はともに日本統治下の台湾で暮らし、日本の敗戦により宮古島に引き揚げた点において共通の人生経験を有しており、そうした「同年代」と「同地域」という共通点を有する両者による台湾―沖縄（宮古）体験の比較はきわめて示唆的である。なお、本資料の目的は、個人の経済的・政治的成功の軌跡を跡付けるためのオーラルヒストリーではなく、日本統治時代の台湾で人々がどのように生活してきたのかを記録化することに主眼を置くものである。沖縄と台湾の人の移動とそれにまつわる個人的体験について、日本統治時代の台湾で実際にどのような生活を各個人が経験してきたのか、本稿はそうした実際の生活体験の聴き取りを記録化し、研究の一助とすることを目的とする。\n | |||||

| 内容記述 | This is one of a series of interviews which are the fruits of an oral history project that focuses on collecting memories of Okinawan / Japanese people who lived in Taiwan during the Japanese Colonial Era. The project’s aim is not to record the political or economic success of prominent individuals; rather, it emphasizes recording personal lives and experiences of ordinary citizens of the time, which would not be recorded in an official history. This is the set of oral histories of Genfuku Taira and Sakae Morishima; the former is a Taiwan-born Okinawan and the latter is an Okinawan evacuee to Taiwan during World War II. When the war ended in 1945, they both were repatriated to Miyako Island in Okinawa. Because of their commonalities in age and the places they have traveled, we can learn how those experiences and memories from their adolescent years in Taiwan were influential even after their postwar years in Okinawa.
