| 内容記述 | Okinawa prefecture cerebrated the 20th anniversary of Okinawa Reversion on May 15, 1992. The aims of the Reversion Movement were to fully apply the Japanese constitution, to protect human rights, to oppose the Japan-U.S. Mutual Security Treaty, to remove U.S. military bases, and to raise the Okinawan standard of living to the same level as that of mainland Japan. Okinawa regained Japanese sovereignty on May 15, 1972, and its standard of living has been steadily increasing each year. However the Japan-U.S. Mutual Defense Treaty still applies, and the U.S. militaly bases remain. This paper analyzes the process of Okinawa's political assimilation to Japan and the dilemma it has caused in the past twenty years since reversion in 1972. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 1992年5月15日,復帰20年目を迎えた｡過去の20年間は,沖縄の政治の諸面が日本の政治機構に組み込まれていく過程であった｡1945年から1972年の米軍統治下で,沖縄県民の大多数の世論は,米軍基地の撤去を求めた｡しかし,日米安全保障条約が沖縄にも適用されて,米軍基地はそのまま残ることになった｡これは復帰後のジレンマの一つである｡論文のテーマは,過去20年間の政治が一体化する過程で生じた政治的なジレンマを取り出し,それらの原因を分析することである｡ | |||||
