| 内容記述 | 琉球列島米国民政府（United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands, USCAR）による直接占領下での、那覇高等学校衛生看護科で行われた准看護婦教育は、琉球政府文教局の主導で開始されたと報告されているが、衛生看護科に関するUSCARの認識を示す文書は確認されていない。沖縄県公文書館所蔵のUSCAR文書を検討した結果、USCARは衛生看護科設置直前の1966年３月の時点で、衛生看護科履修後の生徒の身分をnurses' aidsとし、そのカリキュラムは看護婦資格取得または看護実践のための正式な看護教育を受けることを前提としたprep-schoolであるとしていたことが分かった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | A first nursing education for Licensed Practical Nurse （LPN） of Okinawa was started in the Department of Hygiene and Nursing at Naha Senior High School in 1966, when under direct occupation by the United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands （USCAR）. Although the nursing education for LPN was initiated led by the Education Bureau of Government of the Ryukyus（GRI）, the recognition of the USCAR to the beginning of the nursing education for LPN was unknown. As a result of examining the USCAR documents in the Okinawa Prefectural Archives Collection, USCAR considered the students’ status as “the nurses’ aids” after taking a course in the Department of Hygiene and Nursing at Naha senior High school. In addition, USCAR defined that the curriculum was recognized as a “Prep-school” to receive certified nursing education for nurses’ qualifications or for nursing practice as of March 1966. | |||||
